“My First” at IT World

I started my career at 2013 as software engineer. After 11 years, I want to reflect and throwback for every “my first” thing which I experienced at IT world. So here they are.

  • My first programming language was Javascript which I’ve learned around 2009 before I enrolled at University.
  • My first database which I’ve tried was MySQL at 2011. I used XAMPP at that time.
  • My first webserver which I’ve tried was Apache Webserver at 2011. I used XAMPP at that time.
  • My first backend programming language was PHP at 2011. I used XAMPP at that time.
  • My first Linux distro was Ubuntu 10.04 which I’ve installed on my laptop at 2011
  • My first BSD distro was FreeBSD 9 which I’ve tried at 2012
  • My first enterprise web framework which I’ve worked on was CodeIgniter for PHP web application. It was around 2012
  • My first career was part-time jobs for building online travel agent at 2012 which was built by HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Twitter Bootstrap, JQuery and CodeIgniter
  • My first web application project which has real users was e-learning web application which was built by HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Twitter Bootstrap, JQuery and CodeIgniter around 2013
  • My first mobile game was built with Java and J2ME around 2013
  • My first professional career as software engineer was building online travel agent at 2013
  • My first large scale ETL system was built on top of Amazon Web Services with Python and Apache Spark at 2017 when I worked with Malaysian company
  • My first Django projects with thousand users and real market was developed at 2018 when I worked with Dutch company. At that time, I was building online mental heatlhcare system
  • My first career shifting as cloud infrastructure engineer was started at 2019 when I worked with Dutch company
  • My first professional certification was GCP Cloud Digital Leader which I achieved at 2022
  • My first experience managing Kubernetes fleet for million users was started at 2023 for digital banking company. It’s real challenge for me

That’s about “My First” at IT Industry. I’m trying to remember it as many as possible. But I think this is sufficient.
